Clicker/Tricks Training(8 weeks+)
8 weeks - $125
What is clicker training???

Clicker Training, also called "Click&Treat" (TM) Training, is a term to describe a type of training that uses a conditioned reinforcer, usually a cricket-like clicker, to mark a behavior that will be rewarded You use the clicker to tell the animal (or person) when it's doing the thing that will pay off. The system was first widely used by dolphin trainers, who needed a way to teach behavior without using physical force. Clicker Training uses the science of Operant Conditioning (OC), which notes that behaviors that are rewarded are made stronger and will occur more frequently.

What can you train an animal to do?

In the words of Dr. Marian Breland Bailey of Animal Behavior Enterprises, "Anything it is physically and mentally capable of doing." We follow this philosophy in class. All dogs advance at different levels due to their owners timing and amount they practice. General tricks we cover... wave, crawl, sit hup, say your prayers, play dead, roll over, retrieving, and any trick someone chooses to try and create... ask my many clients who have their dogs retrieving beer from the cooler!!!
